Attuning with Autumn a Natures Rhythms Day Retreat

Moving into Autumn, weathering this stormy season with a calm and blissful, restful yoga retreat in the beautiful surroundings of Knepp Safari.

Be it a bright low sunshiny day or stormy and dark we will weather it out being warm and cosy in the yurt practicing in Nature.

Before festivities of midwinter begin give yourself the space to connect with nature and tune into your body and make some time for opening up that channel of self reflection. To nestle down and get into our soft animal selves. To take time to listen and attune to our bodies. Giving time to the nurturing quiet resting body. Connecting through nature in this wonderful peaceful place to a calmer quieter space within, learning how to tune into the autonomic nervous system through our asana practices and breath work. Exploring how our yoga practice can guide us through the darker months.

When we practice our yoga in the yurt we experience a deeper sense of the natural elements—air, earth, metal, water, wood, and fire, and they become metaphors for inner balance, grounding us and fostering deeper sense of connection and being. The rhythmic flow of our breath during our yoga mirrors the cycles of nature, creating a space of pausing, breathing, and being present.

Letting our yoga practice ground us, our meditation and walking in the beautiful re wilding project of Knepp Safari inspire us to contemplate the possibilities of change and how we think about nature, ourselves and our environment around us.  Allowing us to feel more centred, grounded, and connected to the earth.  Our yoga and meditation become pathways to peace, healing, and harmony within the larger rhythms of life.

We will start the morning with an uplifting cleansing energising yoga practice leading to a guided meditation. Then a delicious healthy nourishing and warming lunch of local seasonal foods, a walk around the wilderness of Knepp in the afternoon. Followed by a deeply restful restorative practice and a Sound bath with Lois Richards to really take us into that calm, deep nurturing space, to reset and revitalise our body, mind and spirit.

There will be lots of lovely healthy teas and warm berry toddies, creating a day of healthy self care through the all senses.

This day retreat is open to all levels and experiences, so whether you are adept yogi or a beginner, or recovering your strength, come and spend a deeply restful day at the Yoga Garden,  guided through your practice.
